Students on the steps of the NH State House

Members of the Kevin B. Harrington Student Ambassador Program visited the New Hampshire State House on Thursday, October 19. Students received a tour of the State House before meeting with senior staffers. D.J. Bettencourt, Policy Director for Governor Chris Sununu (R-Newfields), Kate Spiner, Senate Communications Director, and Terence Pfaff, House of Representatives Chief of Staff, spoke with Ambassadors in a moderated discussion.

Staffers advised students on the benefits of working in state government, as well as how the Ambassadors might work to become more involved in community affairs. The State House trip is part of the Civic Engagement Committee’s year-long focus on state and local government.
