2022 Thanksgiving Message

November 22, 2022

Dear Saint Anselm community,

The holiday season – and Thanksgiving in particular – is a time of reflection and gratitude. This is certainly true here on the Hilltop, where the energy and enthusiasm has been unmistakable these past few months. After two years of pandemic restrictions and hybrid activities, we are fully joined together as a community and our bond has only grown stronger by the challenges we faced.

And now begins a time of year when our Anselmian dedication to service is fully displayed, from our annual Thanksgiving basket drive, which supplies a festive meal for more than a 1,000 people, to the Meelia Center’s Holiday Fair, which provides seasonal cheer for hundreds of Manchester-area families. We sincerely appreciate all that God has given us and we are committed to serving others with a deep sense of gratitude.

This is what it means to be a member of the Saint Anselm community. We are called to reach beyond ourselves, to serve others, and to contribute to the common good. Our students leave the Hilltop not only with a first-class education, but also with a depth of spiritual goodness, shaped by our Catholic and Benedictine values.

For this, I am so very thankful. Paddy and I wish you and yours a wonderful and peaceful Thanksgiving filled with food, family and friendship.
