Nursing Honors Society Induction 2021

On Wed., Oct. 20, 31 nursing students were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Epsilon Tau-at-Large Chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing.

To be inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing an undergraduate student must have completed half of the nursing curriculum, achieve academic excellence of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grade point average system, rank in the upper 35 percent of the graduating class, and meet the expectation of academic integrity.

Membership into Sigma Theta Tau provides students with research opportunities and professional connections. Inductees receive a subscription to the “Journal of Nursing Scholarship and Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing.” Students are also invited to join events sponsored by the Epsilon Tau at-Large chapter.

The mission of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarships, leadership, and service. The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing became the first U.S. organization to fund nursing research. Sigma also offers career development programming as well as leadership programs to further member’s skills.
