This multi-day in person conference is designed for nurses and other health professionals who are working in school settings across the developmental span, from pre-school to college campuses.

Learning Outcome:
By the end of the multi-day school nurse conference "Connecting and Collaborating," participants will be able to describe enhanced interdisciplinary skills and discuss strategies for addressing diverse student health needs and fostering inclusive and supportive school environments.
This comprehensive 2-day workshop has been developed to empower nurses transitioning or aspiring to transition into clinical nursing faculty roles within academic and healthcare settings. The workshop aims to equip participants with essential skills, strategies, and best practices necessary for effective clinical teaching, including methods for fostering clinical judgment, the art of debriefing, using constructive feedback approaches, and accessing resources for continued development such as toolkits, templates, and mentor relationships. The program will include simulation exercises, opportunities for cognitive rehearsal as well as group discussion to address individual questions and increase learner confidence.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to articulate the core responsibilities and expectations of clinical nursing faculty in academia, describe strategies to foster clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in nursing students, apply effective debriefing techniques to facilitate reflective learning, compare constructive and ineffective feedback approaches, and access resources for continued development such as toolkits, templates, and mentor relationships.
