The president of the college urges students, faculty, staff, and administrators to participate in this upcoming survey (see Father Jonathan's letter) as a vital step toward institutional self-knowledge. "It is impossible to grow in a positive way until we know who we are, from the perspective of all of our members."
The survey process is brief, anonymous, and confidential. Participants will receive the link to the survey instrument through an email, and paper surveys will be provided to those who do not have email addresses. Diversity Associates will process all responses off-site. The final report to the college in the fall of 2008 will combine the key themes that emerged from focus group discussions and private interviews with the data collected from the survey. All results and data will be reported in aggregate form.
Reward For Student Participants:
The student voice is crucial to the success of the Campus Climate Survey. In order to thank students who participate in the survey, the college is offering two incentives to those who complete the survey: a $10.00 Coffee Shop Coupon, and a chance to win an iPod TOUCH.
Here's how it works:
After you complete and submit the survey, print out the "Thank you" page that will appear next. Sign the page, put your campus mail box number on it, and place it in the Survey Coupon Box in the Davison Hall office. You will receive your coupon by mail. The drawing for the iPod will take place the last week of April.
The eSurvey will be available to the campus community starting Tuesday, April 8, and it will remain open for campus members to provide their responses until Tuesday, April 22.
