Saint Anselm History
Dr. Bennett has been teaching at Saint Anselm College since 2008. She has taught in Health Assessment & Fundamentals and Community/Public Health Nursing. Dr. Bennett currently teaches Care of the Elderly and Chronically Ill and Adult Medical Surgical Nursing.
Dr. Bennett has over twenty years of clinical experiences in adult medical surgical nursing, critical care nursing, obstetrical nursing, and nursing care of the patient with heart failure. She has also held a position as a unit based educator on a cardiac unit. In this role, she provided education for nursing staff and patients, developed a heart failure educational program, and served as a mock surveyor for health care quality. Dr. Bennett maintains clinical nursing skills through per diem work at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
Dr. Bennett's scholarly interests include nursing care of culturally diverse individuals, health care equity, reduction of health disparities, health care quality, and nursing education. Her work has been published internationally and she has presented her work nationally.
