Records Management

Records Management practices can lead to both efficient and effective methods of managing records that represent the activities, functions, decisions, and decision-making of a campus office.

Seeking to address the proper management of records, the Records Management program answers the following questions:

  • How long should records be retained?
  • What authority (legal or otherwise) dictates the retention time?
  • How are the records dealt with after they have outlived their retention time?
