Mass Schedule

As a natural expression of our Catholic and Benedictine identity, Saint Anselm College offers various opportunities for daily prayer and reflection. The Abbey Church is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. All members of the college community are encouraged to spend time in reflection and prayer in accordance with their own beliefs.

Celebration of the Eucharist

Summer Schedule (Sunday, May 18-Tuesday, September 2, 2014)  
During the summer season while the College is out of session, mass is celebrated at 8:30am daily.

Exceptions are as follows:
Sunday, June 15 at 10 a.m., Alumni Reunion
Saturday, July 12 at 11 a.m., Solemn Profession of Monastic Vows
Friday, August 29 at 3 p.m., New Student Orientation Family Mass
Sunday, August 31 at 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 2 at 10 a.m., Mass of the Holy Spirit

Mass will be at 8:30am on August 15 for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Academic Year Schedule (beginning Wednesday, September 3, 2014)

  • Sundays  -  11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Weekdays   -   5:15 p.m. 
  • Wednesday Night Student Mass - 9 p.m. in lower Lady Chapel
  • Saturday   -  11:50 a.m.

Monastic Liturgy of the Hours


Sunday

  • Morning Prayer 7:10 a.m.
  • Daytime Prayer 8:30 a.m.

Evening Prayer with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament 5:30 p.m.

  • Night Prayer 7:30 p.m. (Old Choir Chapel)

Monday through Saturday

  • Morning Prayer 6 a.m.
  • Daytime Prayer 12 p.m.
  • Evening Prayer 7:05 p.m. (Vigil Saturday 7:30 p.m.)

Sacrament of Reconciliation


Monday and Wednesday and Friday   (will resume Wednesday, September 3, 2014)

  • 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Lower Level)

Sunday

  • 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. (Lower Level)

The Blessed Sacrament is reserved in the chapel to the right of the sanctuary in the Upper Church.
