History 101 (Hi 1) Origins of Western Civilization

Class Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM-12:45 PM

Description of the Course: This course will survey Western Civilization from its Middle Eastern origins to the beginnings of the modern era around 1600. We will concentrate on the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, and changes in outlook brought on by the Renaissance, the voyages of discovery, and the Protestant Reformation.

This course meets the Historical Reasoning Learning Outcome.
