The Irish group Téada gives the expressive force of traditional Irish reels, jigs, and hornpipes lush orchestration that celebrates the intricacy and energy of these timeless tunes. Accordion player and singer Seamus Begley produces music filled with startling sprays of reckless ornamentation, displays of sharp wit, and the haunting sound of ancient bitter-sweet airs. Brian Cunningham and his siblings learned step dancing from their grandparents. As Atlantic Steps, the family brings Ireland's oldest dance form to life with vibrant music, song, and dance inspired by the stormy coast of Connemara. Put them together and what have you got?
