Course Description

This one-semester course for non-science majors emphasizes scientific investigation, scientific reasoning, critical thinking, making connections between science and society.  General principles of the biological sciences include biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology and evolution along with relevant links to the chemical and physical sciences.  The course satisfies the general science core requirement.  Two lectures and one two hour laboratory per week.
