Community Outreach

We recognize and fully believe in the importance art has in the life and development of students of all ages. In an effort to serve those outside our campus and invest in our society, we offer various opportunities for community members to come and interact with our artists through special on-stage demonstrations and workshops.

During the 2016-2017 season we hosted an On-Stage Demonstration/Master Class with Nashville based bluegrass group, The Barefoot Movement. This gave members of the community the chance to join this award-winning group for an intimate on-stage experience. We also offered a special On-Stage Demo with the amazing guitarists from The International Guitar Summit. Performing their latest original compositions and exchanging musical ideas on stage that evening, this afternoon offering was a rare opportunity to meet the artists and get a peek inside the ideas behind their music.

We are committed to participating in the Manchester and New Hampshire communities, sharing cultural resources, and having a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors and fellow citizens. These programs are offered as a part of The Dana Center's commitment to showcase multi-cultural music performances to our community. By bringing performances from such a diverse array of traditions we connect with the human experience across cultures in a way that is certain to entertain and enlighten. We are proud and pleased that The Dana Center at Saint Anselm College is a place where artistic expression takes center stage.

We invite everyone to be part of these unparalleled experiences, as these programs are free and open to all.
