After over 30 years of collaboration, Saint Anselm College and The Moore Center teamed to create MooreTOGETHER, a mutually advantageous partnership that builds upon strengths of both organizational communities. The Moore Center is a Manchester-based organization that has empowered and supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over six decades.

MooreTogether Partnership

Centered around relationship building through empathy, understanding, and lifelong learning, MooreTOGETHER connects Saint Anselm students to individuals served by The Moore Center through experiential learning opportunities that help both parties grow. MooreTOGETHER aims to remove the stigma and biases experienced by adults with disabilities by creating an environment where advocacy and educational initiatives lead to positive community change and workforce development.

Partners

Before MooreTOGETHER, the Saint Anselm community welcomed The Moore Center clients to campus for socialization and integration activities such as the annual Valentine’s Day and Halloween Dance. In addition to those events, this partnership has brought about the MooreTOGETHER Fellowship, a program where adults from The Moore Center visit campus semiweekly to experience college life along Anselmians. Through academics and other fun activities such as bingo and Walking Club, Saint Anselm students engage with the “Moore Center Fellows” as they wish or as part of a community-engaged learning course. The MooreTOGETHER Fellowship includes everything from student-taught academic lessons to exciting pickleball games with members of the Hilltop community.
