What is the Anselmian Success Grant?

The Anselmian Success Grant Fund is designed to help students overcome unexpected or unmet financial barriers that might otherwise prevent them from thriving at the College. Whether it’s covering the cost of an internship-related expense, study abroad travel, professional clothing, certification fees, or a wellness program, these grants are designed to support students holistically—academically, personally, and professionally.

The Anselmian Success Grant Fund provides small grants ranging from a few hundred dollars up to a few thousand dollars. These grants are awarded to currently enrolled undergraduate students who face financial challenges that could impact their academic progress, well-being, or participation in meaningful co-curricular experiences.

The fund is made possible through institutional support and the generosity of donors who believe in the potential of every Anselmian.

Types of Anselmian Success Grants

Anselmian Success Grant Fund

The Anselmian Success Grant Fund removes financial barriers that hinder academic progress, well-being, and access to enriching experiences. Grants support five key areas:

  1. Academic Needs: Help with essential expenses like computers, textbooks, or taking advantage of curricular or co-curricular opportunities that might require funds, including travel
  2. Degree Completion: Assistance to clear outstanding balances that will prevent them from receiving a diploma, or they do not have the funds to fully participate in Senior Days or Commencement.
  3. Wellness Needs: Support for urgent health and safety expenses, including food, clothing, and emergency medical or dental care.
  4. Emergency Transportation: Funding to cover travel during critical situations such as hospitalizations or family emergencies.
  5. Co-Curricular Opportunities: Aid to access internships, study abroad, leadership development, and other transformative experiences.

Financial hurdles at the end of a student’s college journey—such as an unpaid balance or costs associated with Commencement—can delay or disrupt the transition to post-graduate life. Degree Completion grants aim to reduce these final barriers and support students in successfully earning and receiving their diploma on time.
