Join us for a two-day, 3/19 & 3/20, in-person conference exploring the latest advances and enduring challenges in psychiatric and mental health nursing.

Day 1 focuses on psychopharmacology, offering 6.5 contact hours applicable toward pharmacology credit for nurse practitioners. Expert presenters will discuss emerging treatments for personality disorders, managing complex medication interactions, the impact of GLP-1 medications on mental health, enhancing therapeutic outcomes through medication optimization, and the interplay between antidepressants, pain management, and sleep disorders.

Day 2 shifts the focus to the broader dimensions of mental health practice, offering 5.5 nursing contact hours. Sessions will explore secondary trauma in first responders, case-based learning around complex psychiatric presentations, harm reduction strategies for cannabis use, and nuanced discussions differentiating narcissistic and borderline personality disorders. Through clinical updates, case studies, and compassionate discussion, participants will gain practical insights and renewed inspiration to provide empathetic, evidence-based care to those living with mental illness.

Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of this two-day conference, participants will have increased knowledge of current evidence-based approaches in psychopharmacology and mental health nursing to enhance compassionate, effective care for individuals across diverse behavioral health settings.

Target Audience: This program is designed for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and other behavioral health, professionals seeking to expand their knowledge of current psychopharmacologic treatments, therapeutic interventions, and strategies to support both patient and provider mental well-being. It is especially relevant for clinicians working in psychiatric, primary care, emergency, and community mental health settings.
