Youth Leadership
Hugh O’Brien Youth (HOBY)
At HOBY, we believe all students have the potential to lead. Our seminars bring students together across different backgrounds, cultures, and communities. We help students discover a newfound sense of awareness, confidence, connection, and purpose.
Participants learn the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of enfranchised citizens. Its purpose is to awaken within the youth of our nation a sincere conviction that a well-informed, intelligent, and involved citizenry is vitally needed to protect and preserve our American traditions. The training is objective and modeled on the structures of city, county, and state government.

The attainment of this goal begins each summer as USA Hockey hosts a series of National Player Development Camps for boys’ players ages 15, 16 and 17 and girls’ players ages 15, 16, and 17. Nearly 1,300 athletes representing each of USA Hockey’s 11 Districts participate in the camps, which attract scouts and evaluators from every level of hockey. Camp participants receive on and off-ice training under the direction of leading USA Hockey coaches, along with current and former National Hockey League and Women’s National Team players. Participants are chosen through an evaluation process conducted at the local and District levels.

Writers/Authors
Camp Necon
Camp Necon (Northeastern Writers’ Convention) is a long-running, informal, and intimate summer conference focused on horror and dark fantasy, designed as a "summer camp" for authors, artists, publishers, and fans. It is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, fostering community through panels, social events, a "roast" of a guest of honor, and other, often silly, activities.
