As the scope of school nursing practice continues to \nexpand, there is a growing need for both foundational knowledge and advanced \nclinical and leadership skills.\n\nThis three-day conference, From Essentials to Excellence: Advancing School \nNursing Practice, is designed to support school nurses at all stages of their \nprofessional journey. The program begins with a full-day immersive workshop \nfocused on Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), offering hands-on, skills-based learning to \nenhance confidence in managing students with diabetes in the school setting.\n\nDays two and three feature a dynamic mix of plenary sessions, concurrent \nsessions, and interactive workshops. Participants may follow an \n\u201cEssentials\u201d track tailored for nurses new to school nursing or select \nfrom a variety of sessions addressing complex clinical scenarios, emerging \nhealth concerns, and practical skills such as injury triage, emergency \nresponse, and care coordination. Additional topics include mental health, \nchronic conditions such as POTS, and the integration of new tools and \ntechnologies to support practice.\n\nThe conference includes nationally recognized speakers, including keynote \npresenter Wendy Wright, along with opportunities for hands-on learning, peer \nconnection, and engagement with industry partners.
