Part Two - This session focuses on the practical skills essential for new nurse leaders and managers. Participants will gain hands-on knowledge in budgeting, quality improvement, patient safety, interviewing, evaluating staff, and leveraging technology, including AI, to optimize workflow. Through interactive case studies and exercises, attendees will leave with tools and strategies to confidently perform the core functions of a nurse leader.
Planned Sessions: Fundamentals of Budgets, Quality and Patient Safety, From Interview to Evaluation: Core Skills in Managing and Leading Nurses, Organizational Skills- Using Tech and AI to Work Smarter, Not Harder
Learning Outcome: At the completion of this session, participants will be able to apply core managerial and leadership skills—including budgeting, quality and safety, staff evaluation, and technology use—to effectively lead nursing teams and improve organizational outcomes.
