MANSFIELD, Mass. – Seniors Trevor Hott(Idaho Falls, Idaho) and Peyton Steinman(Pittsfield, Mass.) were nominated for the Man and Woman of the Year awards issued by the Northeast-10 Conference on Wednesday.

Hott, a Physics major at Saint Anselm, was a co-captain for the Saint Anselm men's ice hockey team in 2021-22 while Steinman, a Psychology major, competed on the women's basketball squad. Each nominee is a senior student-athlete that has excelled in all areas of their collegiate careers – on the playing surface, in the classroom and in the community.

The league's two winners are set to be announced the night of Thursday, June 9, as part of a pre-recorded live awards show on the NE10's YouTube page.

A seven-time NE10 Commissioner's honor roll and seven-time Saint Anselm Dean's List selection, Hott helped the Hawks to the second seed in the men's ice hockey postseason this winter. Hott was selected to the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team at the beginning of April and was voted as the Saint Anselm Senior Scholar Student-Athlete earlier this month.

Hott skated in 21 games for Saint Anselm this season. He registered two goals and five assists for seven points, all of which are career-highs. Hott was an integral part of the team's defensive group that allowed a league-low 2.96 goals against in 2021-22.

Hott served as the College's President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was the Saint Anselm representative for the NE10. The senior earned the Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

Steinman was named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America Honorable Mention. The senior was also named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioner's Association First Team All-East Region and the NE10 women's basketball Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team in 2021-22. In her career, Steinman has been a Saint Anselm Dean's List student-athlete and has been selected to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll.

On the season, Steinman scored a career-high 577 points with an average of 20.6 points per game. She was 155-of-175 from the free throw line this season, converting at 88.6%. Steinman led the conference in points per game and free throw makes while ranking second in total points, free throw attempts, and free throw percentage.

Steinman became the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,781 points in 117 games on the Hilltop. Steinman also holds the Saint Anselm records for free throws made (487) and free throws attempted (572) while ranking second in career free throw percentage (85.1%) and games played (117). Her 15.2 career points per game is the fourth-best rate in team annals.
