The practice of holistic nursing calls for deep integration of knowledge, presence, and intentional practice. In today’s complex healthcare environment, nurses are increasingly challenged to sustain their well-being while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
The conference, again, is being held at The Colony Hotel, Kennebunkport, Maine.
This immersive, multi-day conference, Embodied Holism: Living Knowledge, Presence, and Practice, invites participants to explore holistic nursing as both a professional framework and a personal practice. Through a combination of didactic sessions, experiential learning, and reflective activities, participants will examine foundational theories such as Watson’s Caring Science, explore integrative approaches to supporting patient and caregiver well-being, and engage in practices that promote self-awareness, emotional resilience, and professional sustainability.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, including techniques to ease suffering through therapeutic touch, reflective practices such as journaling and creative expression, and strategies to foster empowerment, boundary setting, and holistic approaches to care.
Set within a supportive and restorative environment, this conference is designed to nurture the whole nurse—enhancing the capacity to lead, care, and practice with presence, intention, and impact.
