Dear Anselmian,
I hope this email finds you doing well as we celebrate 2025 National Nurses Week! Campus is abuzz with commencement in just a week. Excitement is also building as our faculty and students prepare to move from Gadbois to our new home in Grappone Hall this August!
I wanted to share some of the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences recent successes.
- The Jean School’s nursing traditions have continued with the Blessing of the Hands and Nurse Pinning. Next week we’ll be celebrating our Nursing, Community & Public Health, and Health Science graduates at Commencement.
- In August, we will welcome our first Anselmian graduate nursing students to campus! Our MSN in Leadership and Innovation Program is currently enrolling.
- The Capital Campaign for the Jean School at Grappone Hall has seen significant progress toward our goal. We have raised $35.5M of our $40M goal, including a transformational gift by the Bedford Falls Foundation to support the School’s students.
- The implementation of Year 1 of our Jean School strategic plan continues to move forward.
- Our students rock! Congratulations to our team of nursing students who participated in and won the NCLEX Trivia Night competitions at both Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and Elliot Hospital. Congratulations also to Julia Dowling ’24 for receiving her first Daisy Award from Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
We will be showcasing faculty and alumni who have authored books in a glass case in Grappone Hall’s atrium. If you have authored a textbook, will you please email me the information about the book, so that we may order it for display in our building?
We have much to look forward to in the coming months! During June’s reunion, we’ll be welcoming the Class of 2020 and hold a long-awaited and well-deserved pinning ceremony! Please also hold the date for the Ribbon Cutting of Grappone Hall on September 5, 2025.
Happy Nurses Week to each one of you! I hope to see you on the Hilltop soon!
Warm regards,
Diane
