Christmas is always one of our favorite times of the year. The Hilltop is a festive spot for celebrations and decorations, and last year got named one of the top ten campuses with Christmas spirit.
The celebrations started before Thanksgiving with the Intercultural Center’s Celebration of Light and the Meelia Center’s Holiday Fair. The annual holiday fair, which kicks off the Christmas season welcomed around 80 families to campus for crafts, games and food that was offered by more than 230 student volunteers. Children also got to get their picture with Santa Claus and go on sleigh rides with the Football team as their reindeer.
The rest of the festivities continued after Thanksgiving. Some of the highlights included:
Gingerbread Competition: Students returned to campus after the Thanksgiving break to compete in this sweet tradition. This year’s winners – Sugar and Spikes – made a model of Grappone Stadium.
Later on in the week, the college celebrated with the Christmas Feast and DecemberSong.
