MANCHESTER – Saint Anselm College is ranked in the top 75 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 rankings. The college moved up 24 spots on the annual college rankings.
“We're gratified by this recognition, and we don't take it lightly — but we also know a ranking is a snapshot, not a verdict,” said Dr. Michael Lewis, president of Saint Anselm. “What matters more to us is the work behind it: the faculty and staff who show up for students, the financial discipline that's let us invest steadily rather than chase short-term fixes, and a community that's stayed true to who we are. That work continues regardless of where we sit on a list.”
This year’s #72 ranking demonstrates Saint Anselm’s value to students and parents. Last year, U.S. News ranked the college #96; the jump from last year represents the largest change among colleges in the National Liberal Arts category.
Saint Anselm College’s recognition in several recent rankings has demonstrated the work of the College and the value of the Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts institution’s return on investment for students. The College was included on Forbes top 500 list for colleges offering the best value for students. Forbes also gave Saint Anselm an “A” for private-school financial stability, indicating that it is “a strong, healthy institution with robust liquidity, solid endowments per student, and secure long-term stability.”

While some higher education institutions nationwide face headwinds due to several factors, Saint Anselm is thriving, growing enrollment by 15.2% over the past four years.
