The Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers students assistance in developing or refining the academic skills that lead to college success. The center's professional and student staff provide services such as learning skills instruction, writing support, and peer tutoring.
The ARC also serves as a computer center with 16 PC workstations and wireless internet connectivity for laptop computers. The center is equipped with large tables for small group study as well as mentoring.
The adjacent classroom provides interchangeable settings for review sessions, workshops, seminars, individual peer tutoring sessions, and small group tutorials.
The Peer Tutor and Writing Assistance Programs at Saint Anselm's Academic Resource Center are certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). All Peer Tutors and Writing Assistants are Saint Anselm students recommended by Saint Anselm faculty.
Peer Tutor and Writing Assistance training is conducted at the Academic Resource Center by Kenneth J. Walker, Director and Benjamin Horton, Assistant Director.

The Academic Resource Center houses a network of 20 PC workstations that are available for word processing and internet research. Additional computer applications are available for computer-aided instruction, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing.
These computers are maintained by the Office of Information Technology. If there is an issue with a computer or printer, please ask one of our staff for assistance and we will call the IT office.
