I consider my education at Saint Anselm to be essential in my success in physician assistant (PA) school and beyond. My liberal arts education allowed me to be well versed in subjects beyond just the core sciences classes and made me a curious learner and helped me later connect with my patients on various subject matters.

What were you involved with at Saint Anselm College?
I was a coordinator for the Meelia Center for Community Engagement, an actress in the Anselmian Abbey Players, and a member of the Alpha Lamba Delta National Honor Society.
What are some highlights from your time on the Hilltop?
I would say definitely getting to work for Kids Café, a great organization, as a coordinator through the Meelia Center. In addition, performing on stage with the Abbey Players and studying abroad in Galway, Ireland.
How did the College prepare you for a career as physician assistant?
I consider my education at Saint Anselm essential to my success in PA school and beyond. The rigor of my classes and education I received at Saint Anselm helped my prepare for the intense curriculum of PA school. My relationship with faculty also allowed me to ask questions outside the classroom, and be a curious learner, all things that were helpful when I was training to be a PA.
How has enduring a liberal arts education shaped you?
My liberal arts education allowed me to be well versed in subjects beyond just the core sciences classes and again made me a curious learner and helped me later connect with my patients on various subject matters. Other unique things at Saint Anselm like my time working with the Meelia Center broaden my horizons and helped shape the ways I wanted to practice medicine and also helped set me apart when applying to PA school.
What have you done since graduating in 2018?
Prior to going to Northeastern University for PA school, I worked at a hospital for two years to gain healthcare experience. After I finished grad school, I started working in primary care at Atrius Health.
What do you currently do for work?
I am a primary care physician assistant at Atrius Health.
