The Office of Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) is a student-centered office engaged in the wholistic development of our students. By facilitating and empowering students to create positive shared experiences, the SEAL team helps create an environment which promotes self-reliance, cooperation, respect, and a broader relational understanding of the community in which students live. The engaged experiences of students that include cultural, educational, athletic, wellness, arts, performance, social, recreational, and leadership enhance student development, a sense of belonging, and student success.
SEAL serves as a key resource for student groups by advising them in organizational development, leadership development, policy development, as well as program and event planning. SEAL guides students in creating and maintaining successful organizations that are representative of the student body and reflective of the mission of Saint Anselm College.
SEAL also offers programs focused on developing student leaders. These opportunities allow students to complement their academic experience by developing critical thinking, decision-making, communication, and problem solving skills. By encouraging students to raise one another to higher levels of motivation and accomplishment, SEAL aids students in developing skills and competencies necessary to become socially and ethically responsible leaders.
