Our program explores the theoretical underpinnings of health science: the fundamentals of life, chemical and physical principles, and an appreciation of the psychological and sociological impacts on human health.


 

About the Program

The Health Sciences major gives students a preparatory advantage as they take post-graduate steps toward a career in healthcare. This major is designed to support a student's preparation for multiple career tracks, in addition to the current selection of pre-professional programs the college offers. Health Sciences tracks include prerequisite courses for pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner.

Health Sciences is designed to support multiple career tracks, in addition to the current selection of pre-professional programs the college offers. The tracks ensure that students meet the prerequisite course requirements needed for post-graduate education. Students will take courses across the sciences including in mathematics, psychology, chemistry, and biology.
