The most significant investment a nonprofit makes is in its Executive Director. A thoughtful, well-planned, and transparent performance review of the organization's leader not only protects that investment, but strengthens the partnership between the board and the Executive Director. Annual evaluation of the Executive Director is one of the board’s most important responsibilities and a critical strategy for retaining talented leaders.
When done well, the evaluation process builds trust, clarifies expectations, aligns goals, and supports the leader’s growth and capacity. This interactive webinar demystifies the executive performance evaluation process through discussion of the evaluation cycle and components, data collection methods, board roles, and frameworks for assessing and communicating results. Participants will leave with tools and insights to conduct evaluations that are constructive, collaborative, and mission-focused.

But Xiomara has plenty she wants to say, and she pours all her frustration and passion onto the pages of a leather notebook...With Mami’s determination to force her daughter to obey the laws of the church, Xiomara understands that her thoughts are best kept to herself. So when she is invited to join her school’s slam poetry club, she doesn’t know how she could ever attend without her mami finding out. But she still can’t stop thinking about performing her poems. Because in the face of a world that may not want to hear her, Xiomara refuses to be silent" (Goodreads.com).
