Bean Distinguished Lecture Series - Scientific Investigation of Art: Seeing Objects in a New Light

Dr. Richard Hark, a conservation scientist at Yale's Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, will discuss how our appreciation of a work of art is highly influenced by the lens through which we view it.  Using examples drawn from the collections at Yale and the Victoria and Albert Museum, his presentation will describe the analytical tools that were used to coax objects into revealing their secrets.

Women's 50th Celebration Mural Unveiling

In honor of 50 Years of women's education at the College, alumna and muralist Jyl Dittbenner ’97 has curated a mural that will be exhibited in the Jean Student Center and will serve as a lasting tribute to the progress we have made and the countless individuals who have helped shape our institution into what it is today. 10th Annual Celebration of Research & Scholarship

Join us in recognizing and celebrating faculty and staff of Saint Anselm College who published research and scholarship in 2023. Geisel Library will be hosting the 10th annual celebration on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 12:30-1:20 p.m. 

Published works will be on display for attendees to peruse, and three faculty will speak briefly about their published research: Christopher Galdieri, Shannon O’Leary, and Kyle Hubbard. 

Refreshments will be provided.

Swing by the Jean Center and celebrate democracy with a piece of cake and a free pocket copy of the Constitution! Stay tuned for more information about additional activities and games.

Constitution Day is a vital component of the heritage of the United States. This federally recognized holiday is officially observed each year to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787.

Live Free and Dance Festival

All packages include free tap class at the end. If they only take tap - $35

 

Live free and dance is Saint Anselm’s first dance festival. A day full of dance with many dance styles including Contemporary, ballet, hip hop and tap. We are excited to have Impavido, Whitney Wilson, Danielle Gautier, Lauren Lassila and Aaron Tolson on faculty this year. 

 

Day 2 will be a performance from all the companies and studios that submit to be in our Live Free and dance show!
