Saint Anselm College is excited to announce that six faculty members received promotions for the 2026-2027 academic year.
“These promotions recognize faculty members whose work exemplifies the very best of Saint Anselm College's Benedictine approach to a liberal arts education,” said Sheila Liotta, vice president for academic affairs. “Their accomplishments enrich their disciplines, strengthen our academic community, and bring new ideas, questions, and perspectives into the classroom.”
ProfessorAdam Albina has been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in the Computer Science department. Albina joined Saint Anselm College in 2003 as Chief Information Officer, a role he held for 16 years. After completing his Ph.D. in Information Systems, he joined the Computer Science Department as a faculty member. Reflecting on the transition, Albina said, “After 23 years at Saint Anselm, working with students has truly been the realization of what it means to be Anselmian. I look forward to many years of teaching, learning, and collaboration.”

Professor Sandra Cereola has been promoted from associate rofessor to professor in the Economics and Business department. Reflecting on her promotion, Cereola said, “Achieving the rank of Professor of Accounting has been a dream of mine since I entered academia. It represents both a validation of my commitment to the accounting profession and recognition of the hard work that has brought me to this point.”

Professor Sarah Glenn has been promoted from associate professor to professor in the Philosophy department. Glenn focuses on areas of ancient philosophy, American philosophy, and philosophy of science, teaching Human Nature Seminar and Ethics Seminar courses.
Professor Kyle Hubbard has been promoted from associate professor to professor in the Philosophy department. He states, “I am most grateful to my students who have made my fourteen years at Saint Anselm such a rewarding experience. I will continue to do what I love doing, helping students explore the deepest questions of life as they pursue what is true, good, and beautiful."

Professor Jeffrey Wiebe has been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in the Economics and Business department. Upon reflecting, Wiebe stated “I am deeply grateful for having been promoted… and for the support and mentorship that have made this milestone possible. I look forward to continuing to grow as a scholar, educator, and colleague in this new role. I’m especially excited to take on greater opportunities…while contributing meaningfully to our academic community.”

Professor Alexander Smith has been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in the Physics department. Smith’s research focuses on the intersection of quantum theory and gravity, and new approaches to testing fundamental physics. While he values his research, he looks forward to teaching introductory physics and introducing students to the subject for the first time. “Six years ago, I came to Saint Anselm hoping to teach undergraduates who care about understanding. That's exactly what I found, and I'm grateful to my colleagues for all their support along the way,” Smith said.
