The History & Classics Department welcomed a new faculty member for the 2025-26 academic year.

Professor Theodore Petro has joined the department of History and Classics, as well as the Core Curriculum Program at Saint Anselm College, Conversatio. This is his ninth year of teaching at Saint Anselm College and has previously taught Conversatio in the Humanities program as an adjunct instructor. This year he was hired full-time to teach Converatio: Pathways and Perspectives as well as World History 1500-Present with the History Department.
In addition to teaching, Petro serves as the secretary for his church, Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Claremont, NH where he led the effort to have the church listed on the NH Register of Historic Places in 2023. He has his B.A. from the University of Pittsburg and M.A. from Ball State University.
