The Saint Anselm College Department of Safety and Security is located in the Daley Building on Saint Anselm Drive across from the main entrance to the College. The department employs full-time uniformed officers who patrol the campus 24 hours a day and respond to a variety of calls including all emergencies. Our department's mandate is to support the College in its mission by providing exceptional services that promote a safe and well ordered environment for our community. We aspire to carry out our mission in a compassionate manner guided by the following values: respect, integrity, service and excellence.

Efforts to keep Saint Anselm College a safe and non-threatening environment cannot be left solely to Campus Safety and Security and other College officials. Safety is a responsibility shared by all of us. We pledge that we will do everything possible to preserve a safe and enjoyable environment at Saint Anselm. Saint Anselm College is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our entire community. While we hope you will never face an active threat emergency, knowing what to do before an incident occurs can make a critical difference.

The Office of Safety and Security has developed this training video to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors with practical information about how to respond if an active threat occurs on campus.

The training focuses on three important principles:

  • Deny
  • Defend

We encourage every member of the Saint Anselm community to take a few minutes to watch this important training video. Preparation does not mean expecting the worst. It means being ready to make informed decisions when seconds matter.
