The mental health crisis in New Hampshire and across the country continues to affect those we know and love. Join Dr. Thema Bryant -- President of the American Psychological Association, professor, podcast host, author, and minister -- as she discusses mental health in our workplaces, schools, and beyond. The event will begin with a light reception with hors d'oeuvres at 11:30 am. The keynote address and moderated Q&A will begin at noon.

Keynote address and Q&A

Dr. Richard Hark, a conservation scientist at Yale's Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, will discuss how our appreciation of a work of art is highly influenced by the lens through which we view it.  Using examples drawn from the collections at Yale and the Victoria and Albert Museum, his presentation will describe the analytical tools that were used to coax objects into revealing their secrets.

Sponsored by the Bean Distinguished Lecturer Series, Dr. Kathleen Baggett from Georgia State University will address virtual technology interventions for improving population health, the importance of optimizing mother - infant attachment and well-being, and share her research findings using a virtual application to support at-risk mothers. Nursing contact hours have been applied for.

The SOAR Distinguished Keynote Speaker this year is Dr. Ann McKee of Boston University. Dr. McKee’s expertise is on Alzheimer’s Disease and (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). She is world famous for her work, especially involving her work on the brains of former NFL players. She has been named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world and one of their 50 most influential people in healthcare. She has earned many awards and achievements, which you can read about on her website, here.
