When 99 Nursing and Health Sciences majors walked across the stage at the Class of 2024 Commencement, they became the first graduates of the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Now a year post-graduation, Saint Anselm College is celebrating the inaugural graduating class and their incredible accomplishments so far.

They have put their breadth of knowledge and experience into action, applying their skills in healthcare facilities, continuing their education at a variety of schools, and finding employment at non-profits and government agencies.

Top workplaces include Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Coming from a nationally recognized nursing program with over 70 years of proven success, employers were not only impressed with graduates’ skillsets and experience, but also their heart.

The students in the Class of 2024 have demonstrated their ability to step up to the plate and have proven to be strong, compassionate leaders in the healthcare landscape.

Isabella Stuzynski ’24, a Nursing major, was one of only ten students accepted into the 2024 Graduate Residency Program in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Boston Children’s Hospital.

During her time at Saint Anselm, she spent her summer working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Boston Children’s developing an interest in cardiac care, providing her with the connections necessary to complete her preceptorship at the hospital’s CICU.

Stuzynski credits her Jean School education with preparing her for the challenges of nursing. “My education at Saint Anselm has given me the skills, experiences, and perspective to treat every patient with the respect and dignity they deserve,” she said.

Community and Public Health major Julie Bond ’24, who now works as a Program Coordinator for the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency at Concord Hospital, has witnessed the connection between the quality of her education and her post-graduate success.

Having served as a student representative on the Strategic Planning Process Board for the Jean School, Bond was not only able to benefit from the school’s creation but also influenced how it would impact students in the years to come.
