Saint Anselm College Health Services provides confidential, student-centered care that supports the health and academic success of our students. Our dedicated team of nurses, nurse practitioners, counselors, and a physician work collaboratively to meet the medical and mental health needs of our campus community.
Services Offered
1. Primary and Preventive Care
- Evaluation and treatment of illnesses and injuries (e.g., cold/flu, strep, minor wounds)
- Routine physicals, screenings, and chronic condition management
- Women's and men's health services
- Immunizations and vaccine compliance (e.g., meningitis, MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis)
- Tuberculosis (TB) risk screening and testing
2. Mental Health and Counseling Support
- Short-term individual counseling and crisis support
- Referrals to community mental health providers
- Mental health medication management
- Collaboration between medical and counseling providers to ensure integrated care
3. Health Education and Wellness Promotion
- Wellness workshops and campus outreach on topics such as sleep, stress, nutrition, and substance use
- Peer health education opportunities and student engagement programs
4. Referrals and Coordination of Care
- Connection to off-campus specialists, urgent care, hospitals, or behavioral health providers
- Assistance navigating insurance and appointment scheduling
5. Medical Absences and Leave Support
- Guidance for students entering or returning from a medical or mental health-related leave of absence
