Joseph A. Favazza is the 11th president of Saint Anselm College. He is popular among the students and the college community, and a leader in liberal arts higher education with an impressive track record in achieving critical academic and institutional goals. 

On Thursday, Oct. 17, Saint Anselm College officially installed Dr. Joseph A. Favazza as its 11th president, marking the beginning of a new moment in the college’s history.

The President’s Council’s primary focus is to monitor Year 4 of Vision 2025 and develop Vision 2030 into a five-year strategic plan.

• Monitor the implementation of Year 4 of Vision 2025: A Plan for Saint Anselm College and adjust the plan as needed
• Each quarter, develop and review the college dashboard of key indicators
• Serve in various leadership roles to develop Vision 2030 into a strategic plan
• Consider emerging trends in higher education landscape and how they may impact the College
• Bring attention to issues, concerns, or questions from the wider college community.  
• Advise the President on regular professional development opportunities for faculty and staff in a variety of areas such as diversity, equity, and inclusion; innovation and technology; effective management and supervision; and mentoring and collaboration
