So much of the past year has been buffeted by Covid-19, and certainly that is true here on the Hilltop.

“There’s something more lasting about the impact you can have on people versus your research output. I’d rather have one or two people say that an interaction with me helped shape their journey as opposed to having one publication more.”

Letter from the President, Spring/Summer 2023

During my time teaching as a full-time professor in the fine arts department at Saint Anselm College, I have been grateful to receive three Fulbright awards to spend time teaching and doing research in various European countries.

The first time my wife Paddy and I visited the Saint Anselm College campus was in the fall of 2009 when our oldest daughter Alina was in her college search process.

A year ago, when I first stepped into Alumni Hall as the 11th president of Saint Anselm College, I was eager to embrace the opportunities and challenges that awaited my own freshman year on the Hilltop.

“Invest in yourself first. New graduates need to establish a budget once they leave here, and make sure they’re putting money away each pay period.”
