The National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded $500,000 to Saint Anselm College in support of the Gregory J. Grappone ’04 Humanities Institute.

On Wednesday morning, June 29, 2022, members of the Saint Anselm College community gathered to break ground on the new home for the humanities.

Saint Anselm College’s home for the Gregory J. Grappone ‘04 Humanities Institute is running on schedule, set to be complete for the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.

The Gregory J. Grappone Humanities Institute joins with the Anselmian Network for Racial Justice, the Criminal Justice Department, and the Office of Alumni Relations to host “Reimagining Justice” - a series of three webinars during the coming semester.

Saint Anselm College celebrates its 50th year of co-education with a Convocation, featuring alumna and internationally known scholar, Emily Orlando ‘91.

Jacob Akey ’24 has been named the first Grappone Fellow at the Gregory J. Grappone Humanities Institute. As a part of the fellowship, he will serve the Institute in an ambassadorial and programming support role, and will receive full tuition and fees.

Last fall, a new special topics course blended history and literature in a unique opportunity for Saint Anselm College students to engage with the humanities. 

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the Saint Anselm College community gathered to dedicate a new addition to the Hilltop – a statue of Joan of Arc.
