In this course, you’ll study the historical foundations for the emergence of podcasts. You’ll learn how the medium intersects with traditional broadcast media and digital discourse networks while focusing on the power of sonic storytelling. At the semester-end, you’ll produce your own podcast and implement techniques you observed in assigned listening and readings.

The joint initiative between WMUR-TV, New Hampshire’s ABC affiliate, and the College provides Saint Anselm students with opportunities to learn about broadcast journalism and the skills necessary for the field. Students might experience studio visits, guest lectures, and internships so students can explore a wide range of careers in journalism.
