Special Topics - Podcasting

In this course, you’ll study the historical foundations for the emergence of podcasts. You’ll learn how the medium intersects with traditional broadcast media and digital discourse networks while focusing on the power of sonic storytelling. At the semester-end, you’ll produce your own podcast and implement techniques you observed in assigned listening and readings.

The Saint Anselm Crier

The Saint Anselm Crier is the College's independent student newspaper, published bi-weekly. The paper provides an outlet for students to share their perspectives within the Saint Anselm community. As a member of The Crier, you’ll ensure that information is unbiased and consistent with standard journalistic measure. The newspaper provides a forum for the free exchange of student ideas and is beneficial to anyone interested in pursuing multimedia journalism.

Alumni Profile: Kelsey Walsh '17

Kelsey Walsh ’17 knew she wanted to be a reporter from the time she was seven years old. Today, Walsh is living out that dream as a White House reporter and producer for ABC News. She credits her professional success to the support of her peers, professors, staff, and mentors during her time at Saint Anselm.
