Block Samples

The following are examples of blocks that are available on Inner, Department, Program, Subsite Landing and Subsite Inner page types, unless noted.* Some blocks have the option of displaying an image or a video. To add a block, use the arrow on the right to expand and scroll the list and select a block.

College Communications & Marketing (CCM) manages Global blocks that can be added to your page(s):

  • Content Block Reference* (#4 - Carroll Bailey '17) - not available on the Program page type.
  • Related Events* (#9) - not available on the Program page type. (photo size 1000x400) As events are added to the college calendar they are tagged to appear on pages related to the subject of the event. When you add this block to your page(s), those tagged events will feed there. (CMS users can create event pages in the CMS. Non-CMS users may submit events using the Submit an Event link in the blue box on the Events page.)
  • Faculty and Staff by Department* - available on Inner pages only; not shown here. (Staff example: name is not linked to a biography page | Faculty directory: name is linked to biography pages). Faculty and staff lists are generated from the Human Resources database and feed to an inner page wherever this block is added provided the 'people page' exists.
  • Dynamic Block Reference - not available on the Inner page type.
