With the conclusion of the 2020-2021 academic year, Saint Anselm College will allow guests and visitors to return to campus during the summer months. This includes access to college buildings and the Abbey Church; access to performances, activities and exhibits; access to athletic events and camps; and access to the grounds for walking and recreational activities.
The College is following CDC guidance regarding mask wearing. At this time, guests and visitors are no longer required to wear masks outdoors or indoors on campus if they have been fully-vaccinated.
We ask that people on campus continue to carry a mask and respect any request to wear the mask during in-person meetings or when outdoor social distancing is not possible, regardless of vaccination status. Please remember that people may choose to continue to wear masks for a variety of reasons, and that wearing a mask is not necessarily an indicator of vaccine status.
Guests and visitors are allowed to attend Mass in the Abbey Church. Capacity and social distancing will be guided by both the Diocese of Manchester regulations and those of Saint Anselm College. Wedding capacity likewise will follow the Diocesan and College guidance.
Currently the Abbey Church is in Phase One for visitation:
- Visitors to campus are welcome to Sunday Mass at the Abbey Church.
- Abbey Church will be at 50% capacity (500 people) for Sunday Mass and College/Abbey officially scheduled ceremonies and events (e.g. weddings).
- Masks are required, in accordance with Diocesan regulations.
- Families may sit together but are asked to keep a six-distance from those with whom they do not live.
- Sunday morning Mass 8:30 a.m. will be livestreamed.
This policy is subject to change in accordance with Government/Church/College policies and procedures and will be reviewed prior to students return to campus in August
Phase two for the Abbey Church, which would broadening visitation beyond Sunday Mass and College/Abbey officially scheduled ceremonies and events, remains in discussion and will be announced at a later date. Please contact Sue Gabert at email@example.com to learn about the College’s current wedding protocol.
For prospective students and athletic recruits, official visits will continue to be permitted based on state and local health guidelines and health screening protocols. Athletic recruits also will follow NCAA and NE10 recruiting policies. For information about recruiting visits, please contact NCAA Compliance Coordinator Sagemarie George at firstname.lastname@example.org. To schedule a tour of campus, please contact email@example.com.
The guest policy will be revisited prior to the return of students for the 2021-2022 academic year. If changes are made, they will be announced by Aug. 1. We appreciate your adherence to the current policy from June 1 to Aug. 1.
