First-year students need to submit the following materials in order to have your application reviewed for admission.

Common Application
In addition to completing the Common Application and the essay, you will be asked to answer a few Saint Anselm College member questions.

$50 Application Fee or Fee Waiver

A $50 fee is required with each application.  Saint Anselm College will waive the $50 application fee for all first generation domestic and international students. For this purpose, a first-generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor’s degree.  All other applicants can contact their school counselor to see if they are eligible for an application fee waiver.

Official High School Transcript(s)
High school transcript(s) need to be submitted by your high school guidance counselor. Please make sure to have guidance submit your most current transcript.

Teacher Recommendation
Recommendation letters are an important way for us to learn more about you as a student. Many recommendation letters will provide valuable information about your development as a student in high school. It is recommended that you have reommendations submitted from teachers you had in the last two years of high school.

School Counselor Recommendation
A counselor recommendation is an important part of your application. This recommendation letter typically provides us with information about who you are as a student and as a member of your high school community.

School Report
The school report should be completed and submitted by your guidance counselor. The school report allows us to learn more about your school and can be found online through the Common Application.

Official Results of the SAT 1 or ACT (optional for all programs except nursing) (SAT code is 3748- ACT code is 2522)

ZeeMee Profile (Optional)
At Saint Anselm College, we look to gain a holistic understanding of each student during the application review process. In an effort to get to know our applicants even better, we have partnered with ZeeMee, a free service that helps students bring their applications to life. Use images, videos, and documents to share your story. Simply copy and paste your ZeeMee link into the Common Application. To begin your profile, create an account at zeemee.com.

Portfolio (Optional)
If you are interested in applying for our Fine Arts program or would like to share your visual and performance art as part of your application, you can submit a free portfolio through SlideRoom. Saint Anselm College partners with Slideroom, which is integrated with the Common Application. All portfolios will be evaluated by a Fine Arts faculty member at Saint Anselm College. To create a portfolio, you can use the link embedded in the Common Application or you can create an account through Slideroom.

Test Score Policy

Saint Anselm College is test optional for all students except homeschool and those applying for the nursing program. Applicants may elect to have their test scores reviewed with their application. Not submitting their scores will not negatively impact the student’s application. Please note that official test scores (if available) will be required for each student upon enrollment. Test scores may be used for academic advisement purposes.

Applicants may submit self-reported test scores for use during the admission process. Self-reported scores can come directly from the Common Application or a student can send us a scanned PDF copy of their student score report. We will not accept self-reported scores in an email from the student unless the email includes the students’ score report as indicated above.

For both the SAT or ACT exam, we suggest that students take the optional essay/writing section. The essay/writing portion of the SAT is not an admission requirement. We will super-score the SAT and ACT exams.

SAT and ACT test dates prior to November 15th will release results in time for scores to be considered with early action or early decision applications. If students are applying regular decision, test dates through December 15th will provide results in time for scores to be considered with their application.
