Most of my teaching is in the areas of juvenile justice, and female offenders.  My primary area of teaching and research involves incarcerated women, and I serve in an advisory capacity on two gubernatorial committees on incarcerated women.  Other areas of interest include domestic and acquaintance violence, peace and reconciliation studies and restorative justice. I also directed the Criminal Justice Internship program which places student interns in a variety of justice-related agencies.

Recent Criminal Justice Internship placements include the Hillsborough County Child Advocacy Center; the Hillsborough County Attorney's Domestic Violence Unit; New Hampshire Probation & Parole; US Secret Service; Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; US Marshals Service; and various other state and local law enforcement, prosecutorial, and correctional agencies.
