Poetry Month

Saint Augustine of Hippo
Of great significance as a philosopher and theologian in the Christian tradition, Augustine of Hippo (354-430) is recognized as a saint and Doctor of the Church. After his conversion to Christianity, Augustine became a priest and then a bishop. He is patron of the Order of Saint Augustine, of which Pope Leo XIV is a member. Please enjoy this display honoring this prolific writer in the Catholic intellectual tradition.
T.S. Eliot
The poet T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) was born in Missouri and later became a British citizen. He was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Nobel Prize in Literature. This display features works by and about T. S. Eliot.
